A Royal Air Forces Escaping Society commemorative cover featuring a colour image of a German aircraft in flight, individually signed by three pilots associated with the Battle of Britain comprising Peter Townsend (1914-1995, British Group Captain with the Royal Air Force and Fighter Ace of World War II), Erich Rudorffer (1917-2016, German Fighter Pilot of World War II, the seventh most successful fighter ace in the history of aerial warfare with 222 victories. Knight’s Cross winner with Oakleaves and Swords) and Martin Harlinghausen (1902-1986, German Aviator of World War II whose Fliegerkorps X supported the Kriegsmarine in the Battle of Britain. Knight’s Cross winner with Oak Leaves). All have signed in blue inks to clear areas of the cover. Limited edition created by Hans Rossbach and numbered 1 of 13 to the verso.
